GuessTheClip Español

About GuessTheClip

GuessTheClip is a free web game in the style of Heardle, but with a YouTube creator’s videos. You pick a channel, a short clip from one of their videos plays at random, and you have to guess which video it is.

There is nothing to install and no account required to play: jump in, pick a creator and start. It is available in English and Spanish.

How to play

  1. Pick a creator from the ranking or search by name. If they are not there yet, you can add them by pasting their YouTube channel URL.
  2. Listen to the audio clip. You start with just 1 second.
  3. If you are not sure, reveal more audio: the ladder grows 1 → 2 → 4 → 8 → 12 → 30 seconds.
  4. Type your answer by searching the channel’s videos. Every correct answer builds your streak; one miss ends the run.

The less audio you need to get it right, the better. The challenge is recognizing the video in as few seconds as possible.

Frequently asked questions

Is GuessTheClip free?

Yes. Playing is completely free and you do not need an account. Signing in with Google is optional and only syncs your progress across devices.

What is a YouTube Heardle?

Heardle is a game where you guess a song by listening to progressively longer snippets of its intro. GuessTheClip applies the same idea to a YouTube creator’s videos: instead of songs, you guess videos from their audio.

How does the audio ladder work?

You start with 1 second of the clip. If you miss, you can reveal more: 2, 4, 8, 12 and up to 30 seconds. The less audio you need, the better.

Can I play with any YouTube channel?

Almost any. If the channel is already on GuessTheClip you will find it in the search; if not, add it by pasting its channel URL and it becomes available to everyone. Non-embeddable or very short videos are left out.

Do I need to install an app?

No. GuessTheClip runs in the browser, on both desktop and mobile. There is nothing to download.

Which languages are supported?

English and Spanish. You can switch the language from the game header.
